We ate at the restaurant every evening and can definitely recommend it. The pool was a welcome way to cool off after a day of sightseeing, and we'd happily stay here again. The hotel is comfortable and set in a quiet, picturesque spot. The owners made us feel welcome, and the staff were polite and efficient.

The heated pool is immaculate, and the service was excellent. I didn't try the food this time since it was Sunday. We had a summer home nearby for years and stayed here once while it was being built, when the hotel was under British ownership. The interior was dated then, but the lakeside setting, food, and service were excellent. Under the new owners, it's been stylishly modernised while keeping its old charm. The glorious weather made this visit even nicer, and I'd gladly return.

The couple who run the place are lovely and supportive. Our rooms were warm and clean, with a beautiful view of the lake. I stayed three nights with four colleagues for work, and we all really enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back in the future and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Mimizan.

We turned around after seeing a sign saying they don't serve you if you only want a drink. That's not a very welcoming way to treat guests, is it?

We weren't hotel guests, but this was still not okay. We were walking by when our kids noticed a big sign and a board showing ice cream choices and prices. As we went in, the manager told us they were closed, which is fair enough. But when I asked about the ice cream sign and whether we could take some away, he raised his voice and said, 'We are closed for your kind of people, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR'. If you read the other one-star comments, you'll see this wasn't an isolated incident. The hotel's replies to those comments are a joke. This is exactly how it is.
