Les Gourbets (MIZ050)

The person at reception was so kind and pleasant. We were lucky to get a place facing the sea, and the residence itself was quiet. You can hear the neighbours talking through the walls, though the sound insulation could be better. Still, these are holiday flats, not homes meant for year-round living. The accommodation worked well for a vacation, but there wasn't anywhere to put our clothes or suitcases. The pool felt around 26°C and wasn't warm enough for us to stay in long. A couple more degrees would have made it much easier to enjoy.

The place was clean and the ocean view was lovely, but the residence is showing its age and badly needs renovation. There are several broken tiles in the main room, stained curtains, and no storage or shower accessories. The sliding glass door also won't lock anymore.

We spent 8 days at NEMEA LES GOURBETS RESIDENCE in Mimizan. The apartment was disappointing: paint was peeling, lipstick marks were left on the glasses so we had to wash the dishes again, and the sofa was filthy and sticky and really needs replacing. We also weren't told that TV would cost an extra €40 per week.

The receptionist was very pleasant and professional, and the accommodation itself was clean, pleasant and well-equipped, with a beautiful view over the ocean. But we only found out when we arrived that the advertised heated indoor pool wasn't available. They offered an alternative, but that was still disappointing.
