The shared room was comfortable because everyone was respectful, something the hotel made a point of emphasizing at check-in. After a fun day surfing, it was a great spot to unwind, with lots of cozy places to sit outside. The Japanese-inspired menu was delicious and there was a wide choice of drinks. The service was very kind, and Marine and Justine, the hotel hostesses, made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. The upper terrace has lovely views across the river and seaside.

A great room, balcony and staff, and the place is on the quiet side of the river. It's only a three-minute walk to the beach and five minutes to restaurants, bars and shops. Our one gripe was the off-season closing time of 20.00. After that, we couldn't get a drink, and there weren't any glasses around either, so we drank our own wine straight from the bottle.

The rooms were really clean and were cleaned well each day we stayed. The staff and owners were very friendly, too. The hotel looks beautiful, from the room decor to the restaurant and upstairs terrace. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The communal spaces have real style, and the rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Breakfast was good too. What makes the place stand out, though, is the easygoing surf feel and the warm, straightforward service from the owners and staff, who are chosen from the surf community. The pierced, tattooed receptionist might point you to a restaurant, a cultural spot, or a beach with a good break. Single Fin suits longboarders who like that laid-back scene, but it’s also a lovely, clean hotel with genuinely friendly service. Feels like a place you’d want to keep to yourself.
