VANDENBELD Wines B&B

My wife is coeliac, and she could relax completely knowing Erica and Renée prepared every meal gluten free. That care, along with the delicious food and wine, made our five nights here into some very special memories. Michel, Erica, Stan and Renée were fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome. A beautiful little place for exploring the nearby towns and villages. My best friend and I came for a long weekend on someone’s recommendation, and we were very glad we did. Michel, Erica and Stan were fantastic hosts, always welcoming and helpful. The bed was really comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and Erica’s cooking was so good we ate there all three nights. We also loved the wine and were impressed by how much the winery has developed over the past 20 years. Do yourself a favour and book a visit!

We bought some of their wines and became fans, so we’ll definitely return to the estate and keep buying from their wide range. The Vandenbeld estate was a highlight of our 2024 trips, and probably of some earlier years too. The whole family running the B&B and winery are lovely and ready to help with requests. They even showed us around the wine cellar and explained the production process. The food was fantastic, and the optional dinner was worth every cent for the quality of the food and wine, the company, and the generous amount of wine :).

We had dinner with the hosts a few times, and Erica is an amazing cook who clearly puts thought and care into every dish. Trying the different wines also gave us a real sense of the quality and variety on offer, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Our family of nine adults had an amazing stay. The scenery was even better than the photos could show, and all the rooms were beautifully decorated with thoughtful layouts. Michel and Stan greeted us and did everything they could to help us feel welcome and settled. Thanks to Michel, Erica and Stan for their hospitality. We hope to visit again before too long!
