B&B HOTEL Besançon Valentin

Breakfast was a little plain, though generally good. The room was small but fine for a night on the road. What made sleep impossible was the fire prevention system screen shining all night, with no staff available to help. The EV charging points also weren’t working, and support couldn’t sort that out either.

The parking right outside was secure and handy, and the location worked well for a stopover, with several places to eat nearby. Our room was clean and roomy. The bathroom was tiny, but adequate for the stay. Breakfast had a good range and fresh products, though the breakfast area wasn’t very clean. The staff were friendly, but didn’t do much beyond that. A decent short stay at B&B Hotel Besançon.

The staff were really nice and attentive, and dogs are allowed for a reasonable extra 6 €. Rooms are predictably quite narrow and small, though the building is fairly new and the standard is excellent for its purpose. A good option for an overnight stop on a long drive, and one of the better B&Bs by French standards.

We stayed here both heading from Spain to Germany and on the way back. It's a clean, comfortable, safe place for a good night's sleep and breakfast while traveling. The room was clean, the parking secure, and the service friendly. There's a Burger King nearby, plus the reception bar has basic meals, snacks, drinks, and similar things. We'll come back the next time we're passing through.
