We felt at home in this remote area, and we’ll definitely return for hiking or perhaps a skiing trip. A car is recommended since most activities aren’t within walking distance. We booked the hotel as a road trip stop near a hiking route, and were surprised to find ourselves in the middle of nowhere. A young couple welcomed us warmly, and they speak German. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a roomy bathroom and an amazing shower. The beds were wonderful and height-adjustable. We’d been asked in advance about dinner and dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, so we chose to eat there. The four-course meal used local ingredients, some from the garden, and was served at a long table with the hosts and other guests. We enjoyed the homemade food and conversation. Breakfast was nicely prepared too, with homemade jam and yogurt.

A lovely, clean place to stay. The hosts were great and nothing was too much trouble. They were very informative, too.

Alexis and Aurélie gave us a very warm welcome during our one-night stay. They served a delicious meal made with local, seasonal ingredients, and shared what they know about the region. Their advice on hiking trails was excellent.

The room, Hiboux, was clean and spacious, with an excellent adjustable bed, and the bathroom had plenty of room and a lovely whirlpool bath. Showering was awkward, though, because there was no holder for the shower head or curtain. The toilet had a beautiful view, but balcony work meant we couldn’t open the folding doors. We requested a separate breakfast, which included yogurt, nuts, eggs, and delicious gluten-free rolls. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the B&B is beautifully and peacefully located. They’re still working on the finishing touches, but we had two great days. There are charming villages and Münster nearby, along with plenty of varied walking routes. Recommended for a short walking holiday.
