The garden is beautiful, and there’s secure bike storage. We stayed for two nights, and the rooms were immaculate. The whole hotel felt homely and welcoming, with a very sweet dog. The host was so friendly and attentive: when we needed to make an emergency visit to the nearby hospital, she helped us communicate and even drove us there. We also had dinner both nights, and it was impeccable. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. Thanks for such a pleasant stay, we’d recommend it 1000%.

It’s an easy 5-10 minute walk from the hotel to the local markets and sights. Breakfast was decent and enough to get started for the day. The backyard is lovely and has a pool, but it wasn’t open while we were there. There was just one staff member on site, along with a large dog.

We came across this hotel while walking the chemin with our dog, and it turned out to be perfect. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. The restaurant was a lovely surprise, with excellent food and wonderful service.

We’d cycled 70 km, but the hostess was rude and unwelcoming when we arrived. She told us our room wasn’t ready and that we could walk into the city and wait an hour. The room wasn’t clean, the pillowcases were stained, and the towels were threadbare. Breakfast was late at 8:00 and very ungenerous. I would NOT recommend it.

During our Chemin de Jacques stay at L’Armateur, we had a large, clean room with a comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with both a bath and shower, and there was air conditioning. We got a warm welcome at reception and enjoyed a great dinner. Breakfast included bread, cereal, yoghurt, and pastries, though the pastries weren’t the best we’ve had. The freshly squeezed orange juice was absolutely the best!
