Residence Landes, Moliets - Holiday Home With Terrace

Awesome place!

The VVF is set in the middle of a pine forest, which was the one positive point. Otherwise, our stay was very disappointing. The chalet was in a deplorable state when we arrived: dirty floors, cobwebs, dust under the beds, a strong musty smell, warped flooring and a dirty fridge with an open bottle of juice inside. Don’t trust the website photos, it’s a scam. The site generally feels neglected. The poolside restrooms were dirty and had no soap. The food was a huge letdown, bland mass-produced items at dinner and breakfast, apart from the bread. Several cups and utensils were dirty, which is hardly acceptable in a public establishment. Some restaurant staff also had an attitude that wasn’t up to standard. We wouldn’t recommend this VVF in its current condition. Avoid it!

Everything is reachable by the cycle and pedestrian path, which makes the VVF holiday village in Moliets a great base for cyclists. Bike hire, the beach, shops and golf are all accessible that way. It’s well suited to families, and choosing half-board was a real plus: no shopping, cooking or washing up to worry about. The menus had something for everyone, and the friendly, smiling staff were attentive throughout. The children’s play area is basic. A small structure with a slide would have been ideal. The value for money is good. There’s no air conditioning in hot weather, so bring a fan or two. We did, and it worked well. We enjoyed the stay and came away loving cycling even more.
