Le Jardin d'Emile

The rooms were clean and well equipped, with comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. The grounds are small but beautiful, with landscaping that feels carefully planned and well maintained. The pool is on the small side, probably not comfortable for more than 3 adults at once, though there’s space for about 5 people to lounge beside it. A public beach nearby is lovely and about a 2.5 minute walk away. There’s also supposedly a private beach for the hotel, but it’s covered in about a foot and a half of sea debris and can’t be used. I’m not sure whether the website mentions that. It’s a quick drive into Ajaccio, while still being away from the bustle, so it works well if you want beach access without staying in the city. We enjoyed our stay, especially thanks to the super helpful staff. It’s a bit paradoxical for an “unmanned” hotel where you check yourself in, but our host was incredibly patient and kind, helping with directions, restaurant reservations, jellyfish questions, and anything else.

We could watch beautiful sunsets from the balcony, and the room and bedding were really comfortable. Every room looks straight out over the sea and beach. It’s a peaceful spot, with plenty of restaurants and other beaches nearby. Aurore made us feel welcome and was so accommodating. We’d happily come back.

The breakfast was generous and lovely, with the host bringing out one delicious treat after another. We also loved the room, the view, and the pool. The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We stayed at the beginning of July and everything felt just right. Such a sweet place, we’d definitely like to return soon.

There’s an infinity pool with a gorgeous outlook, and you can choose to eat breakfast there or have a basket left outside your room. Breakfast wasn’t included, though. A friend picked up the basket and brought it into our room without realizing it cost extra, so we were charged for it. C'est la vie. The hotel sits in a beautiful spot on the Mediterranean, near one of the island’s nicer sandy beaches. It’s also tucked into a cove where I saw kids climbing the rocks and jumping off.
