That duck was unbelievable, absolutely sublime. My husband and I came to Moncontour today for lunch at Hostellerie de la Poterne, and I only wish we could return. Australia is calling.

Lunch was very good value, with a great menu and friendly staff. The little terrace has lovely natural shade, too. Highly recommend it.

The lunchtime set menu had a good range of wholesome, tasty dishes, with a slightly unusual twist. Service was good and the price felt fair.
