La Barrat

The house and its surroundings are even lovelier in person than in the photos. We came home after 14 days at "La Barrat" feeling properly refreshed. It’s such a beautiful spot, peaceful and surrounded by nature, with lots of privacy. Christine and Gérard are incredibly sweet and give you plenty of space to do your own thing. The cycling and mountain biking are fantastic, with so many little roads and paths to explore. After a ride, relaxing by the lovely pool and taking in the view is hard to beat. There’s so much to love about this place. Thanks, Christine and Gerard ♥️. The town of Isseac is beautiful too and worth a visit.

The Drying Shed was spacious, comfortable for two, and well-equipped. Our hosts were welcoming but also discreet. It’s tucked away in a peaceful setting, yet close to Issigeac, a typical village in the Périgord Pourpre. The area’s bastides are nearby too, with history everywhere you look. We had a wonderful, relaxing week.

The owners were lovely, attentive when needed but discreet. We spent 15 days on this magnificent, well-kept estate, just 2 km from beautiful Issigeac, which you can reach by bike or even on foot. There’s nature all around, a nice pool, horses, a dog and a cat, and a comfortable cottage. The region is full of history, castles and great food. A perfect place to unwind and explore Issigeac, so close by.

The hosts were welcoming and discreet, and the cottage was comfortable and well-equipped. It’s well located for visiting the Dordogne’s iconic sites, and close to Issigeac and its lovely market.
