The rooms are a little tired, but they were clean and warm, and the mattresses were comfortable. The Mark Warner staff were helpful and made the rest of the stay. It's ski-in, ski-out and you can still walk into town, so the location is what makes this place. I'd give the staff four stars and the hotel three. A tip: the vegetarian option is usually the most generous.

The kids' nursery and facilities were very good, and the views and location beside the slopes were brilliant. Every employee was kind and did their best to make our stay pleasant. The food was okay, more than enough, but there's room to improve the culinary side.

The price through Mark Warner was very good, a couple of thousand pounds below comparable options, and the hotel is right in town with ski-in, ski-out access. The staff, including at the kids club, did the minimum, and the place looks like it hasn't been decorated in 30 years. The food and wine were pretty poor, though you won't go hungry if you're not fussy. I'd recommend it if you get a great price and expect something closer to a youth hostel than a luxury hotel.

We had issues all week, with poor management, low hotel quality, and a limited range of low-quality food. I went hungry more often than not. The chalet host staff were excellent, but the office staff were deplorable.

Being right beside the slopes means you can ski in and out, and the pool, steam room and sauna are great for recovering after a day skiing. Really nice staff and a great atmosphere.
