Hôtel Club MMV Le Panorama

The ski location was great, and the kitchen staff were attentive and nice. The food itself was OK, but we got extremely sick. We later learned there had been a gastroenteritis outbreak at the hotel. We saw only a tiny notice in the elevator, and only on our last day. There hadn't been proper notification or preventive measures. One of our bedsheets also had black mold. Our room was dirty when we arrived, and nobody came despite our hanging the housekeeping sign. Every two days we had to collect our own toilet paper, towels, and other essentials. Getting help at reception, checking in, or even getting a response took forever. The reception hours were listed incorrectly, so planning our departure was impossible. The management felt chaotic and unprofessional. For what we paid, the lack of basic hygiene and service was unacceptable. We left sick and stressed, with no accountability from the hotel. Apart from the ski location and kind kitchen staff, it was a disaster. We'll never come back.

The service and atmosphere were good, which is why I first left a positive review. But after lunch at the hotel, we felt worse on the drive home, and today it was confirmed as food poisoning. Really disappointing. I hope they take steps to stop this happening again.

The restaurant had lots of good food options, and there was a useful ski locker room. But the path to the high street was badly iced over. Since everyone uses it, I expected them to grit it. It felt dangerous to walk on. The toilet seat in our room was broken, and I had to ask many times before anyone fixed it. Staff spoke little English, the hotel posters were all in French so we couldn't understand what events were on, and there were no English TV channels. It's a nice hotel, but those things made the stay frustrating.

The ski rental in the basement was outstanding. They fitted my son and me perfectly with skis, boots, and bindings. My son also loved the kids club and its friendly staff. The owner was at the hotel daily, overseeing things. We had a great view of the ski slope from the 2nd floor, and the location by the ski lift and mountain was great. The rooms are basic, but the amenities were decent, and the buffet was delicious at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen and dining room staff were super. Skip the on-site pedicure or spa treatments, except for a massage. Great value for the money, with some old school village charm. I recommend it.
