Hôtel Côte Brune

The dinners were excellent, with varied dishes that were beautifully prepared and clearly had a chef's touch. Breakfast was much more limited, mostly self-boiled eggs and a simple omelette, with no vegetables. The cramped ski room was another drawback, especially for a large group with gear. We were a group of over 25, and the staff were very kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The hotel was charming and very clean, right on the slope for easy ski-in/ski-out access. It also includes the famous Umbrella Bar, with lively music and a great atmosphere. Surprisingly, we didn't hear noise from it in our rooms. We had a lovely stay and confidently recommend the hotel.

The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable after a day on the mountain, and the whole place feels thoughtfully run. We especially liked the festive mood at Christmas, cheerful without going overboard. Florence, Camille, and Inès were wonderful, as was the rest of the attentive, friendly team. Getting onto the slopes was easy: the ski school drop-off is close by, and the main Jandri lift is a short walk away. The Umbrella Bar made a great stop after skiing, and the takeaway kiosk was handy for snacks and drinks. This was our third Christmas week at Côte Brune in Les 2 Alpes, and we keep coming back. We'd happily recommend it for a ski holiday.

Breakfast was great, and the spa was a lovely extra. The rooms were cosy and warm to come back to after skiing, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The location made everything easy: a main lift is just steps away, while supermarkets, rentals, restaurants and bars are all a few minutes' walk. We had an incredible stay and hope to return soon.

Caroline at reception was a huge help, sorting out my parking, lift passes and restaurant bookings. We had a wonderful three-day break at this superbly located hotel, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the resort. Richard and Doris
