The hotel is in a good location, has a decent breakfast, and the staff were really helpful. Our family room was adequate, but its position made the stay far too noisy for a family. It was next to the lift and directly above a bar playing very loud music until the early hours. Someone also decided to vacuum right outside our room at midnight. I agree with the reviewer who said the hotel needs to decide which kind of customer it's catering to. It might be great for a boozy ski trip with friends, but I wouldn't recommend it for a family.

The receptionists were very helpful. One found an electric heater within five minutes when we mentioned how cold the bathroom was, and it solved the problem. The room itself was quite small for four people, with little furniture beyond the bed. It works as a place to sleep, but the shower took 2-3 minutes to get hot. Being next to the 1800 lift was a huge plus, with no morning wait, though the area isn't charming. It's mostly large concrete buildings with very few restaurants, so you'd need to take a bus to the city center for more than the bare minimum. Breakfast was standard, with cereals, eggs, pastries, pancakes, bacon and fruit. Nothing special, but enough to keep you going on the slopes. The management seems to let small problems linger. Snow and ice on the stairs from the ski locker room to the lift made them dangerous, unused ski lockers were left open and taking up space, and slush piled up outside the main entrance. The free coffee and hot chocolate machine was also out of order about half the time. I'd call it a 3-star hotel, with another star for the helpful receptionists, rather than a 4-star.

We were generally happy with the stay: the staff were friendly, the rooms acceptable, and the hotel was right by the ski lift. The balcony view was great too. But at EUR 650 per person for four nights, it felt extremely overpriced. The rooms and beds were very small, with bunk beds and such, breakfast was minimal, and the shower and sink equipment were faulty at times. If it had cost less, I'd have given it four stars, but the quality doesn't justify that price.

My first visit with my family was absolutely wonderful. The staff were nice, the rooms good, and the food delicious. Then I went with my school, and it was a completely different experience. The food was expired, staff said they wouldn't "waste time on you kids" and focused on their "REAL CUSTOMERS," and the rooms were shocking. Eighteen boys were ill after day one.
