Bring some basics with you: dish cloths, a sponge, dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and soap. You can rent linen and towels from the agency. If you find that glasses, cups, plates or utensils are missing, they can provide them. Each room is privately owned, so the equipment and upkeep vary, and the agency just handles the rentals. It’s modest and inexpensive, with worn furniture, but warm and reasonably clean. There’s plenty of hot water after a day in the snow, and the slopes are only a three-minute walk away. The basement ski room isn’t heated, so you’ll need to bring your boots up to your room. Shops are close, along with a good pizza place and some nice restaurants and bars in the nearby centre.

I trusted the analysis I’d seen and booked, and I’m glad I did. Copilot said many of the bad reviews appeared just before the season opened, often from newly created accounts, and that the wording in several one-star reviews was very similar. To me, that pointed to a smear campaign, which is really sad. We had a wonderful stay. The lift to the slopes is right behind the hotel, with a bakery across the street and markets and a pizzeria nearby. Our room was clean and roomy, with everything we needed: a big fridge, cookware and a water boiler. I can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel, and I’ll be back.

The location is perfect, and the furniture and kitchen in our two-person studio were well looked after. It was a comfortable size, with a balcony. We stayed for a week and, despite the bad reviews, had a pretty good time. You can see the residence is old in the corridors, though the apartments didn’t feel old inside. It’s a cheap, two-star place, so don’t expect high-end service or a heated ski boot dryer. If you know what to expect for this price in France, you’ll have a good stay.

If you’re happy sleeping by the entrance door or on a small sofa, this is the place for you. The rooms were supposedly noble and white, and that’s about all I can say about them. ✨ We had an amazing stay otherwise. Reception were always around and very helpful, and the cleaning team did a stunning job. Thanks to the guests before us for leaving the room tidy, so we could pass it on in the same condition.
