The owner and the person who welcomed us were both very attentive. The accommodation was clean and well located, and it's a beautiful place. You can get everywhere on foot, which was fantastic!

It's a nice town, and a great place to set off on hikes. There are good restaurants, but remember to book ahead. The pedestrian street has quite a few shops. Regional products cost about the same wherever you go, with only a euro or two difference.

Mont Dore is a lovely mountain town and a perfect base for hiking. The big waterfall is well worth seeing if you're nearby. The restaurants are decent too, but make sure to reserve.

The waterfall at Mont Dore is beautiful, and the hike there was much harder than I expected. Hiking boots and walking sticks are a good idea for anyone who needs a bit of support. Still, reaching the waterfall at the end is a lovely reward.

It's very pretty, but the winding track made of shiny metal spoils the scenery. A few thrill-seekers get to enjoy it at the expense of the resort's other visitors, who lose some of its charm.
