The kids were pleased that the pool was open even in April, and they also enjoyed the playground. We had a great stay at this campground near Chambord, a handy spot for a bike trip and a visit to the castle.

The shower and toilet were good, like a private wetroom, and the water temperature was excellent. There’s internet, a security gate that closes at night, and an Italian food truck that comes to the site, which was amazing. I didn’t try the pool, but it looked clean and well maintained. It’s a quiet holiday park with five motorhome pitches, conveniently located for Chambord. The landlady was very friendly. Mont-pre-Chambord has little in the way of tourist facilities, with restaurants and bars mostly closed or keeping odd hours.

A lovely, peaceful site with very friendly staff. The pool was great, and there are only four pitches for motorhomes. It’s an easy walk into the village, where there’s also a supermarket.

The manager was willing to help, and the wooden house had the necessary equipment. It’s in a lovely, calm natural setting, with the village supermarket just a three-minute drive away.
