There was a shed for my motorbike, which was especially useful in the heavy rain. The road entrance is very steep, though you can get in by another road farther up. I was the only guest at the time, travelling south on my bike, and this is definitely a biker-friendly guest house. My room was clean and tidy, with an ensuite bathroom, coffee and a TV. There's lots of wood around and the floor creaks. WiFi worked fine. The retired lady who hosted me was warm and helpful, and speaks good English, though give French a try if you can. She made scrambled eggs and crepes for breakfast. There's a town nearby if you need to find dinner.

We booked a spontaneous stay with Denise and Pascal, and they were kind, attentive hosts who were always there when needed. Their home is tucked into the Monts du Lyonnais, with the greenery and quiet they promise.

We only stayed two nights, and left wishing it had been longer. The countryside setting in the Monts du Lyonnais was peaceful, and after a quiet night we had a generous breakfast that was consistently good quality. Our hostess welcomed us warmly and showed us to an old-style furnished room overlooking the countryside. It has modern comforts too, including Wi-Fi and a TV box. We also shared dinner at our hosts' table for a very reasonable price. The food was good, and the couple were charming and passionate; conversation ranged over so many interesting subjects that dinner ran late. The next morning we were keen to pick up where we'd left off. If you prefer commercial zones and bland, characterless places, this probably isn't for you. But for a country stay with peace, good food, and engaging hosts, it was unforgettable. Thank you, Denis and Pascal. We'll definitely come back.

Homemade jams and crepes made breakfast a real highlight. We had a pleasant, relaxing stay, with a warm welcome and plenty of peace and quiet.

The rooms were very clean and the beds were great. We were welcomed wonderfully, and breakfast was generous, with homemade products. A quiet spot out in the countryside. I'd recommend it without hesitation.
