The garden-based vegan meals Marie made and Didier's thoughtful service were such a lovely part of our stay. I was struck by how carefully everything had been chosen, from the mix of antiques and modern touches to the handmade door hangings. The crisp bedding, soft robes and slippers, and all the little details made the room feel wonderfully luxurious. There are only three bedrooms, so the place feels intimate and full of charm. We spent a few delightful days with Didier and Marie in June, and I really didn't want to leave. It was a gem, every bit as impressive as top hotels like The Four Seasons. I never expected this level of luxury and would return in a heartbeat.

The homemade food was delicious, and the house and peaceful garden were beautiful. My boyfriend and I felt completely comfortable during our July 2013 stay at La Bonneterie. Marie and Didier were generous, friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a stay we'll remember.

The dinner is well worth trying. The food was simple, locally sourced, and good enough to belong in a Michelin-starred restaurant, while the setting still felt family-run. Marie and Didier looked after us with such care from the moment we arrived. The clean, fresh, high-quality towels and bedroom linens made for a comfortable sleep. Their kindness, comfort, cleanliness, and quality all made for five-star service, a perfect mix. Sabina and Iacopo will keep this house in mind next time we're in the area. The hearty breakfasts with homemade jams and dinners using vegetables from the garden were delicious. I was so glad to spend a long week with you. Marie and Didier gave me a very warm welcome in their lovely home. The tastefully decorated room and all the refined touches made for a relaxing, pleasant stay. It was an enchanting visit.

Breakfast was a real treat, with homemade jams, still-warm crepes, and other little surprises to start the day. The evening meal deserves ten stars, exceptional! Our spacious, beautiful room looked out onto the garden. The house had such a warm feeling, and the hosts were attentive throughout. It felt like time had stopped for a while in the Creuse region. A huge thank you for those happy moments. Everything you need for a wonderful stay is here, and yes, I highly recommend it.
