Jet d'eau

We left feeling rested. The gîte is in a calm, relaxing spot, and the accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. They gave us a lovely welcome too. We'd be glad to come back.

The end of our stay was unpleasant. The owners accused us of deliberately damaging the pool cover by “running on the closed cover.” We didn't do that; we're all responsible, respectful people in our mid-thirties. The cottage seems idyllic at first, but the pool made the atmosphere feel very humid. It wasn't right for us, and we left feeling unwell.

We had complete privacy, and the owners were there if we needed anything. Agnès and her husband were warm, kind, friendly, and attentive. The gîte had everything we needed, so we only brought our own belongings and food. For me, this is the best gîte I've stayed in. We're coming back on June 11, 2021. I've never had a better stay, and I recommend it without hesitation. It's absolutely top-notch, and so are the owners. Thank you, Agnès and your husband!

My husband stayed there with friends, and he says the owners intimidated him into not leaving a negative Airbnb review while he was there. I didn't stay myself, but the system lets this happen, so I'm posting here to call attention to that kind of practice. The place looks beautiful on paper. If you have a problem, though, read other reviews too; the owners' personality seems far removed from that of welcoming hosts.
