Mr Johnny was so helpful and kind, and the garden is a lovely spot to sit with a book and tea. The rooms are clean and simple, with an attached bathroom and a desk, in a beautiful old heritage building. It’s a five-minute walk to charring cross. If you want a reasonably priced place right in the heart of Ooty, this is a good choice. It’s no-frills, and food isn’t included, but Mr Johnny can point you in the right direction.

The breakfast was a highlight, with fresh bread, pastries, and lovely homemade jams. We had a very pleasant two-day stay, thanks to our hosts’ warm welcome and kindness. The place is close to the city center and has a spacious bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. We especially appreciated having the kitchenette during the 6:00 PM curfew.

A truly awful first experience. The city felt depressing, and the hostess looked very unkempt. Inside, everything seemed filthy and badly cluttered, including the reception area.
