The room was so damp that none of our towels dried during our stay, and the bathroom was tiny. Outside our building there was a big pile of horse manure that was never cleared. It was hot, but we couldn’t open the windows because of the smell. The grounds and buildings were messy and dirty, with things left lying around. Cleaning supplies, a broken table, and a broken air conditioner were left in our hallway, and there were plastic cups and rubbish scattered through the garden. We also had no phone or 4G internet service. Booking.com listed Wi-Fi, but the owner said it didn’t work in any of the buildings, so it shouldn’t have been advertised as a facility. When we asked about moving to a better room because ours had no Wi-Fi, the owner said it was too expensive for us. We said we were willing to pay and asked how much, but she just repeated that it was far too expensive. We got the impression she either didn’t want to clean another room or knew the Wi-Fi wouldn’t work there either. I didn’t want to pay extra for a stay like this anyway. The owner, in particular, often spoke badly about customers and complained when they asked for flavors or requested things, as if she couldn’t be bothered. That’s not a customer service attitude.

We’ll be back next year! Camille, the manager, and her team gave us a wonderful welcome. It’s a relaxing place that’s good for children, with a large pool, trampoline, billiards, games, and more. In the evening, the buffet was varied and generous, and the food was good quality for a very competitive price. A lovely place to recharge.

The staff were warm and attentive, and breakfast was plentiful with plenty of variety. The restaurant is roomy and welcoming, and there’s a beautiful pool too. This is a lovely estate, a former holiday camp that’s been restored as a residential property. It’s surrounded by woods and green fields, making it great for refreshing walks. The grounds are extensive, and there are friendly sheep in one of the fields.

The evening meal deal costs €15 and is generous, with a starter, main course, and dessert. For breakfast, there’s a €5 light option or an all-you-can-eat buffet at a different price. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms, though the evenings get very cool. It’s a peaceful spot with welcoming, dedicated staff. Our apartment was very well laid out and had all the comforts. There’s a play area, a pool, and a small forest nearby. I loved the change of scenery, and nature lovers will be right at home.
