Hotel Ibis Budget Montélimar

Everyone at the hotel was nice, and the receptionists were always helpful. The rooms were okay, and I enjoyed my stay. It’s in an industrial area, so without a car you’ll need to walk a bit to reach the center or take a taxi. I had a hard time finding taxi service in Montelimar. Numbers I found online either said they couldn’t take me once I gave the hotel address, went to voicemail, or hung up when they heard English. It may be a tourist area, but taxis were difficult. Luckily, the last driver helped me, and I left him a good review because he deserved it. I got the impression some drivers are afraid to speak English, but that’s fine. I hope more will give it a try, it won’t be the end of the world. I enjoyed trying to speak French with the driver and a lady in a store, even though I can’t fully understand it. Speaking it is a bit different for me. The store lady handled it fine too, though she didn’t even realize it. Ordering food from restaurants was also impossible for me. Online listings said they delivered, but not one place I called actually offered delivery. You’re better off driving, since you’ll need to pick up the food. Luckily, the hotel serves breakfast, you can order pizza, and there’s a vending machine inside where you can buy a few things. You can also walk to the center, which is a nice way to get to know the city, and that’s totally fine.

Perfect for a night on the way through. This was my second stay, and the staff were awesome and very dog-friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

The breakfast was good, but the floor and the bathroom in our room were dirty.

The room was clean, the bed extremely comfortable, and the staff were so friendly that I felt welcome. Booking was easy for this overnight stop on the way to Spain. I arrived late but checked in without a problem. I missed breakfast, though I could still grab a bite and a drink.
