Confort Hôtel

The supermarket across the parking lot was the one thing that earned this place a star. I’d avoid it on another Paris trip. Getting to the main sights took 1-2 hours by a mix of bus, train and metro, so our days involved a lot of public transport. At night, trucks passing nearby made it hard to sleep, and with Paris temperatures above 94 while we were there, we were uncomfortable opening the windows without screens because of mosquitoes. We stayed a few days, and the room was poorly cleaned. The sink had several stains and no stopper. The shower curtain was heavily stained brownish-pink, and a wide gap between it and the tiled edge let water splash onto the floor, leaving the shower area very wet. There was no kettle, iron or hair dryer, just two extra-thin plastic cups. When we asked for ice one evening, we were told the hotel didn’t provide any. The person working nights was rude and impatient. I don’t speak French, so I used Google Translate voice to communicate, but he kept waving his hand as if he couldn’t understand the phone or didn’t want to listen.
