AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We wouldn’t have stayed if every hotel nearby hadn’t been full. We’re workers, and after negotiating we paid 70€ for full board. The rooms are small but functional and equipped, though our towels weren’t replaced during our three days there. Probably to save on laundry, which fits the rest of the experience. The meals were the main problem. There were few customers, and I can see why. Breakfast included coffee, hot chocolate, and one croissant, which was acceptable. The brioche was the cheapest sort instead of fresh bread, one of the three jams was expired, and on the final day a dog took our two croissants from the table. They did give us more. Lunch and dinner were dreadful, with no homemade cooking or effort toward quality. The starters were the cheapest charcuterie, eggs with mayonnaise, a cheese pastry, or a salad that clearly wasn’t homemade, and can’t have cost more than €1 per plate. Main courses were frozen chicken leg and fries, a small steak with peas and carrots, or pasta Bolognese. One evening’s grand finale was half a frozen supermarket-style Royal pizza. They couldn’t even make a simple pizza themselves. There was no cheese, either. Dessert was a Reine Blanche with the cheapest vanilla ice cream, or a chocolate entremet that was really just cheap flan with one piece of supermarket flan. With bread and water, the whole meal can’t have cost more than 4 or 5€ at most, yet it was SOLD for 15.60€. Yes, 15.60€, outrageous. No ketchup, and when asked about dessert, the answer was, “I’ll see what we have.”
