Le petit belge

A friendly host who gives you room to yourself, and the Wi-Fi was decent. Good value for an overnight stop while travelling.

After a bad experience with Booking.com, we were glad to find this place. The host took us in at the last minute, even though we were a couple travelling with two children, one still a baby. He was so welcoming and kind. Our family room had a double bed and two singles, with plenty of space. The whole house is decorated with care and good taste, and you can tell he put a lot of heart into it. Breakfast was included, making the price excellent value. Thanks again for your kindness and for having us.

We hardly slept because the room was noisy, the bedding was poor, and there was no hot water. I even found hairs on the sheets and wondered if they’d been washed. The cleanliness was disappointing too, with lots of dust under the beds, cobwebs, and ladybugs. The outlets were attached to the wall. At breakfast there was no microwave for warming hot chocolate. The host offered jam, but there was no butter or towels.

The room had everything we needed, including a toilet, walk-in shower, and a connected suite with a living room, TV, kitchen, and dining area. For two people, breakfast included, it was just 60 euros a night, a competitive price. It’s a lovely spot for nature lovers, with nice places to visit nearby. Thanks to the Belgian friend who renovated this beautiful house with such courage and love, and gave us such a warm, relaxed welcome. See you soon!
