We went for my birthday after my family invited me. The food was freshly made and amazing, though the portions felt a little small to me. The restaurant is up in the mountains with a lovely view when there's enough light, and it opens at 7:30 PM. The staff were nice and spoke a little English, which helped when I couldn't find a word. They even put a small candle on my dessert. It was a Sunday night and the place was loud, with locals coming in to eat.

We stayed for a week at A Pasturella and were delighted with both the hotel and the restaurant. The restaurant is one of the best in the L'Île-Rousse area, in our opinion. The family running the place were warm and welcoming, and always tried to help with whatever we needed. The location worked really well too, right in the center of Monticello and just a short drive from beaches and nearby villages.

The restaurant was a favorite, with thoughtful dishes, lovely combinations and a heavenly take on an éclair, plus les vins. The whole place feels cozy and welcoming, with stylish design, even down to the toilets by reception 😄. Our room stayed clean and tidy, and the staff and bosses were so friendly and ready to help. We were both really happy, and know where we'll stay when we're back in the region. Thank you for everything.🙂

We stayed at Hotel A Pasturella for two nights with my wife and our 21-year-old son, from 22-24 June 2015. On our 10-day trip through Corsica and Sardinia, we stayed in five different places, and A Pastuella was easily the best. The meals were especially delicious and the wine selection splendid. Staff were polite and helpful, cleaning was satisfactory, and parking caused no problems. It was beyond what we'd expected. On our next trip to Corsica, I'll spend at least five days at A Pasturella. I certainly recommend staying here when visiting Corsica.
