The sea view is lovely if you happen to get a room facing it, but the online photos gave us the wrong impression of the pool area, which now looks tacky with its bright pink wall and mismatched garden furniture. Our room was cramped and had no proper bathroom: a freestanding tub sat in the middle, there was no shower or privacy, and the tiny sink was tucked in a corner. No toiletries either. We were right beside the breakfast room and got woken early by chairs and tables scraping around. Breakfast was scant and ridiculously expensive, like the rest of the stay. The whole place feels overdue for renovation, from the shabby entrance to the dated, mismatched furniture. Wi-Fi was useless for two people, and even alone I had to keep signing in. The price is outrageous for what you get. A major disappointment, and we’d never recommend it.

The reception staff were a bright spot. The ladies looked after us and were especially attentive and kind, which helped make the stay better. Our room also had a lovely sea view and a very comfortable bed. Still, at €400 per night, we expected more. There was a sewage smell when we entered, just as other reviews had mentioned. Changing the air conditioning helped a little, but it didn’t seem like the problem was being taken seriously. The room was crowded with surplus furniture and an enormous TV. The garden and pool looked inviting in the photos, but felt cluttered and not especially clean in person, and the pool wasn’t appealing. Wi-Fi barely worked, with repeated logins required, and it often failed even after that. This seems hard to understand in 2025. By the end we were the only guests left, which probably wasn’t a coincidence. The hotel feels dated, or perhaps just short on attention to detail. It’s much too expensive for what it offers, especially with busy Route de Calvi running just below the property.

We paid 400 EUR a night for a room with a dusty parking view, even though rooms are sold that apparently aren’t available. Management doesn’t seem to care at all. Absolutely a no-go hotel.

After one night we left Minera, partly because I couldn’t get work done with the internet cutting in and out. There were no chargers in or near the hotel, so I had to walk 15 minutes to charge at the nearby place where we moved. Later, when that hotel called in the morning about the things I’d left behind, including my bathing suit, Minera said I couldn’t collect them until 5 pm, despite my having prepaid three nights and the room technically being mine. Our new hotel gave me a new bathing suit from its shop for free and sent someone over at 5. They found my things in a trash bag outside the closed doors of the closed hotel. There didn’t seem to be any other guests there in September. Before we arrived, the receptionist kept calling; I later understood she wanted to go home after checking us in. She also said she could give us massages. When we returned from dinner, the hotel door was open, our keys were left on the desk, and nobody was there. It brought the hotel in The Shining to mind. Our room’s ocean-side window was tiny, and we had to pay a substantial extra amount for a proper ocean view. Breakfast included microwaved croissants and other baked goods. The coffee machine gave me watery something, and the receptionist/cook/masseuse brought hot chocolate from the same machine and told me it was coffee. At checkout the next morning, after one night in the upgraded room, they asked for the full prepaid amount again and wanted me to pay for upgrades for all three nights. After a lot of heartache, we paid for one upgrade night and checked out.

The massages were amazing, and the staff were so attentive. Thank you, Marie Claire! The atmosphere really takes you somewhere else. We had a wonderful wellness break and felt treated like royalty. Great for a short or longer relaxing stay, with family or as a couple, and excellent value for money. Thank you so much!
