La Bergerie

The restaurant was a highlight: excellent food, a good range of fish dishes prepared well, and a great healthy menu for kids. The hotel has a terrific view, a good pool, and a large room and bathroom, with great service. The drawbacks were that food isn’t allowed in the rooms, there’s no fridge, and lunch choices are very limited.

From the terrace, the view is beautiful, and the beach is close enough to walk to. The bathroom is fairly large, but there are no shelves and its door doesn’t shut properly. The room itself is tiny and very simply furnished. There’s no fridge or minibar, and the reading lamp on one side of the bed didn’t work right. Sound carries everywhere, with no insulation at all between rooms.

The terrace has a wonderful view, and the beach is only 5-10 minutes away on foot from this little hill. But in the garden-view rooms, the only window and the entrance face a busy courtyard, so there’s no privacy. The rooms are small, dated, and poorly equipped. The sliding bathroom door won’t close properly, and water from the shower floods the bathroom. There’s no mini fridge, just one reading lamp, and you can hear everything from the neighboring rooms.

A pretty, convenient hotel in a really quiet spot, with a breathtaking view of the island. The town center is around 10/15 mns away on foot. Staff were helpful and kept everything very clean.
