La Parisienne Des Amognes

The peaceful, green surroundings made a lovely setting, and everything was comfortable and clean. We especially enjoyed hearing about the history of this authentic family home and the special things to discover in the region. Our hosts welcomed us into their lives so warmly. The meals and breakfast were excellent, with local ingredients and homemade jams. A big thank you for such a lovely, convivial time. And Lulu, Giroflée, and the chickens deserve a mention too!!!!!

Dinner was a real treat, with food prepared by the hostess and local wines presented with real know-how. We first got to know one another over a welcome drink, and spent the evening with Patricia, Jean-Claude, Lulu, and a very friendly Belgian couple. The room was tastefully decorated, everything was in impeccable condition, and the bathroom worked very well. Nothing was missing. After a restful night, breakfast with homemade jams and wonderful fromage blanc was a pleasure. Then it was time to say goodbye to our kind hosts. Our first bed and breakfast stay left us with unforgettable memories. We had a superb time sharing that special moment and would certainly do it again. Thank you so much!

The only small downside was the ground-floor room beside the road. Passing cars made it a little noisy early in the morning. Everything else was impeccable: welcoming hosts, a comfortable room with tasteful decor, an aperitif on arrival, and an excellent meal. Breakfast was French-style, with delicious homemade jams. It was very good value for money, and we hope to come back soon!

We stayed four nights with Patricia and Jean-Claude and shared their communal table for dinner on two evenings. Patricia is a lovely cook, making beautiful meals with excellent local produce whenever she can. Jean-Claude also let us try some local wines. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back when we’re in the Nièvre region.
