The room and bathroom were elegant and very spacious, spotless, and the bed was really comfortable. We walked to this beautiful house, which is in a quiet spot close to Vezelay, and AnneMarie and Luc gave us such a warm welcome. Exceptional in every way!

The delicious breakfast had fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed juice, homemade bread, ham, cheese, yoghurt, preserves, and even chocolate. We also ate dinner there twice, staying in for the table d’hotes offered by Luc and AnneMarie. AnneMarie is a wonderful cook, and both hosts are delightful. Le Repos Coquelicot is a heritage listed B&B, carefully and tastefully renovated with quality fittings and great attention to detail. It’s a short drive from Vézelay, Avallon, and Auxerre, so it worked perfectly as a base with a car. We had a wonderful stay!

This was our third stay, and Anne-Marie and Luc were just as welcoming as ever. Their hospitality is five-star. Le Repos Coquelicot sits on the edge of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, with plenty of history and good food in the area. Vézelay Abbey is very close, Avallon is nearby, and Burgundy’s wines and the winemakers’ warm welcome made for a peaceful, refreshing stay. Breakfast was excellent, too.
