Hotel Le Montloire

My husband and I had a terrible stay after a booking error led to us being told, quite aggressively, to leave. We had emailed to request two nights and then confirmed by phone. During breakfast, the manageress suddenly told us we had to leave the room. I explained that we’d booked two nights, but she replied rudely that they were fully booked. She became angry and very unpleasant. I asked whether, since we were already in the room, they could find another hotel for the people arriving that day, but she refused. She only offered to look for a room for us much later in the situation, and apologized only when I was paying. It was her awful tone and manners, more than the situation itself, that made the experience so upsetting. I left in tears. The rooms are okay, breakfast is alright, and the price is reasonable, though the village patisseries and boulangeries are much better. The way we were treated was really unpleasant. If you can, stay in AMBOIS instead, a short drive away. It has great restaurants, lovely hotels, and cultural sites within walking distance, and you won’t have to deal with this hotel.
