Hôtel Le Celtic

The place was cramped, with average cleanliness and a just-okay room. There was no heating, odd stains on the bed, and a TV fixed up on the ceiling. The wardrobe had neither doors nor hangers, and the shower tray had plastic boxes in it. Getting to the room was manageable despite the stairs. What really crossed the line was the staff, who seemed drunk, were unpleasant and incompetent, and got close to aggressive and insulting when we declined the room. Not great, even for the price, and I wouldn't recommend it.

Une famille avec 4 enfants est arrivée à 22h30 et a claqué les portes 40 fois en 10 minutes. Impossible de dormir, nous avons dû partir. Il y a une route très bruyante juste à côté, et les chambres sont minuscules et sales, avec des prises arrachées. Je ne sais pas quand les fenêtres ont été lavées pour la dernière fois. Le directeur est resté froid face à nos remarques. Nous nous demandons s'il respecte sa clientèle. Rien de bon à dire sur cet hôtel.

The bathroom bin was overflowing and the towels were still damp when I opened the room, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned. I only took a quick look at the shower and decided against using it. The carpet was filthy, one outlet had been ripped out, and there was some wobbly, disgusting piece of furniture. You'd have to be adventurous to stay here.

After our car broke down, roadside assistance sent us here. Had we known what it was like, we would've refused. The receptionist barely spoke French and tried to put us in one room for four, even though we'd booked two double rooms. At least we had clean sheets and no noise, which seems lucky from the other reviews. The shower tray was filthy, cobwebs covered the ceiling, and an electric toaster was the only heater. From reception and the stairs to the rooms and bathrooms, everything was dirty, dusty, run-down, or out of order. Appalling, avoid it.
