The room’s layout was functional, though it didn’t feel especially well thought out. We found hair in the room, product residue on the shower wall, and a carpet that needs a thorough clean. The location made it easy to explore the surrounding area, and the staff were very friendly.

There are plenty of restaurants, bistros, and cafés within a three-minute walk, so there’s lots of choice nearby. If I return to Montpellier, I’ll stay here again. Pullman has spoiled me, and this is the level I want from places I stay in future. Thanks, Pullman, and thanks as well for lending me the suitcase scale. We booked two rooms for two adults and one child, and stayed for three nights. It was 37 when we arrived from the airport, so stepping into the cool reception felt like bliss. From the foyer onward, we were treated with respect. The staff were incredibly helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The hotel reception has an entrance to the underground parking and shopping centre. The mall has clothes, shoes, beauty and tech shops, cafés, ice cream shops, and a large Monoprix selling everything from groceries to clothing and accessories. We used the small pool in the spa area with my 10-year-old. Children can use it from 9am to noon. It was just right, and there was a great shower with toiletries. We had a deluxe queen room with a huge, very comfortable bed, USB sockets beside it, a fridge, and a Nespresso machine with pods and a kettle. Both rooms had bathrobes and slippers. The air conditioning was excellent, which mattered with temperatures above 38 during our stay. The rooftop area was lovely, with a pool that was cleaned every morning. I would have preferred it to open earlier and stay open until perhaps 9pm, but that’s just my preference. We spent part of an evening relaxing up there and had excellent bar snacks. The complimentary herbed cashews were wonderful. The buffet breakfast was the biggest and most varied I’ve ever come across, and first class, just like the hotel.

The whole hotel felt dirty and outdated, with horrendous carpets and dust everywhere. The air conditioning never worked properly either. Our suite smelled like a sewer and garbage on the first night. We reported it, and they said they’d move us or fix it. After work the next evening, reception said the issue had been fixed, but the room smelled just as bad. They downgraded us to a superior room, where the window was broken and wouldn’t close, and the shower gel dispenser was empty.

The breakfast spread was incredible, with more food choices than I’ve ever seen. The coffee from the Nespresso machines was pretty awful, though everything else was amazing. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are so friendly, and the rooms are great, with modern decor and really comfy beds.

We had a delicious meal at the restaurant. The staff there were attentive, helpful, and pleasant, which isn’t always the case in France. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities.
