The location is handy, just a short walk from the city centre, and despite the alarming Google reviews, we had a reasonably pleasant stay. It was clean and had the basic equipment we needed. But the place is tiny. There were two of us, and both rooms had double beds with only about 30 cm of space along one side and at the foot, like sleeping in a caravan. One room had somewhere to hang clothes, but nowhere to put a suitcase. The parking arrangements were confusing, so make sure they’re confirmed. It was fine in October, but without air conditioning I think it would be unbearable in summer.

The one real plus was how close it is to the city centre. The apartment itself felt like a bunker: it’s on the ground floor on a busy, noisy street, so sleeping was difficult, and we had to keep the curtains closed during the day to stop people looking in. That also made it very hot, though the fan helped. The bedrooms were extremely small, with access to the comfortable bed only from one side. The kitchen was tiny and poorly equipped, with very little cutlery, just two teaspoons. The bathroom was cramped too, and the sink was clogged. Luckily we had our own plunger and managed to clear it, otherwise it would have been unusable. Parking turned into a drawn-out hassle. The apartment is managed by a real estate agency, and a different employee met us from the one we’d been in touch with. She was late, then told us the space we’d booked wouldn’t be available until after 6 PM because someone else was due then. At 6:20 we called because that person still hadn’t arrived. When she did, she waved us into any spot. The next morning there was a sign saying it was occupied, so we had to call and text repeatedly to find out which space was ours. We picked another spot ourselves, and only that evening did the agency call with our assigned space number. It’s annoying to spend your vacation chasing the agency over problems. The apartment is small, near Place de la Comédie.

Montpellier is a good location for it, but the place felt like a tourist trap. The owners had confirmed six towels, yet we got only two. Cleaning was awful: dirty sheets left on the sofa bed, stains, hair, and pet fur. I’m not a clean freak, but this was too much. The “sea” apartment also had a strong sewage smell, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly. Avoid.

The cupboards were full of dirty dishes, and there were boogers on the windows and what looked like dried semen on the wall. The apartment hadn’t been cleaned and was filthy. When I complained, they even said I should have told them about my allergies and breathing difficulties, as if that would have made them take the time to clean. At €320 for three days, I expected a clean place. The owner and Françoise from concierge service 34 are scammers. Avoid at all costs!

The apartment was very small, barely enough room for two people to pass in the hallway, and it wasn’t very clean. The table was almost falling apart, the shutter was loose with a screw, and the faucet was broken too. It feels like they’re making money off broken things. Be careful if it’s hot, as the ventilation is an issue. With four people, the fourth person has to wait 20 minutes for hot water. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The check-in was frustrating as well. I was 20 minutes late because of traffic, and she made me wait until 6:45 PM, leaving me outside for three hours. We’d missed each other by a minute while I was parking. During our calls she’d said she’d save me a spot.
