There’s a lovely balance here: enough people for a holiday atmosphere without feeling crowded, and guests are considerate, so it all feels harmonious and family-friendly. The scenery is beautiful, there are loads of activities for the kids, and most are free or very cheap, including a pony trek. The staff are friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to sort out a couple of issues unrelated to Kocoon. They also leave people to get on with things rather than constantly checking in. A couple of small drawbacks: the kitchens could be better equipped, with only a paring knife and bread knife for food prep. The two-bedroom flats are listed for 4-6 people, but even four of us felt cramped; opening the sofa bed for two more would take some serious Tetris. It would also help to explain activities, kids’ clubs, and where things are more clearly, as on a short stay it’s easy to miss what’s happening.

After two weeks here with my family, two adults and two children, we were very satisfied with what we paid for the accommodation and activities. The overall offer was high quality for a very good price, and most activities were included. The Karellis station and Kocoon people made us feel welcome. We loved the staff, especially Mrs Francoise, who checked us in and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived; we also had lovely chats with other colleagues, though I didn’t get their names. Our flat, for 4/5 people, was ideal for a family holiday, with a living area and kitchen, two bedrooms, a toilet and a bathroom. It was modern, functional, and well equipped with everything we needed and more. We had a balcony overlooking the mountain and swimming pool. There are two modern elevators and a shared laundry room with large, modern washers and dryers. The spa is on the top floor, included in the flat price, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Thanks to Kocoon and Les Karellis for a beautiful holiday. The view over the pistes is worth the extra €100. You can watch everything going on from the comfort of your apartment. The newly renovated apartments are very comfortable and couldn’t be more conveniently located. The staff were excellent, especially the very helpful English manager, who even moved his car so we could park near the entrance. Thanks again. I can’t recommend this place enough.

You can park the car and leave it there until you go home. There are hiking trails (“randonnees”), restaurants, shops and a swimming pool, all among magnificent mountain views. Kocoon’s staff and management were friendly and helpful, and there’s even a spa with mountain views. That made for an excellent experience.
