La Grange Ancienne

We only stayed one night because we were travelling around the country, but I would have happily stayed longer. The restored property fascinated us, and it’s just the kind of place we’re looking for ourselves. Sally, Craig, and the lovely young Iris were wonderful hosts, even though we booked at the very last minute. Our room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and furnished to a high standard. The thoughtful extras, like good tea, biscuits, and toiletries, were appreciated, as was the complimentary bottle of wine. It did ruin my January diet, SALLY! We were cosy and warm despite the grey, miserable weather. Sally also did a brilliant job cooking for my January diet the next day. We met the dog, a cheeky, lively little thing, and the hosts are just as happy to put her away if that suits you. We’ve stayed all over France while looking for a house, and this was unquestionably my favourite stop. I can’t recommend it highly enough. We loved meeting you and chatting. Your home is gorgeous, and so are you. Hopefully we’ll stay again one day.

We spent three lovely nights here and really enjoyed the stay. The hosts were so nice and helpful, and breakfast was lovely too. We’ll definitely come back and visit again. We can only recommend the place. Regards, Susanne and John

We had a very comfortable room, with a bottle of burgundy waiting for us. Sally and Craig gave us a lovely welcome, and breakfast in that magnificent setting was excellent. We wish them all the best!
