Hôtel Alpen Roc

The food was outstanding, and the service was faultless all week. Our room was small, as is standard in a resort, but comfortable, warm, and cleaned daily. The balcony had a great evening view over town. The heated boot and locker room was a big plus, especially the heated wardrobe, and the pool and hot tub were great too. The hotel exceeded what I expected based on other Morzine places with similar ratings. It's on a quiet side street with no late night or traffic noise, about five minutes on foot to the village centre. The Pleney and Super Morzine lifts are convenient, and there's a free bus to the Prodain cable car. I'd definitely return and recommend it.

The food was divine, and the staff were lovely. It's also close to the ski equipment and lifts. Great hotel. I only wish there'd been a choice of food at the start of the week.

Friendly staff, a good breakfast, and the location pushed this up to four stars. Our room smelled like an ashtray, though, and the pipes hummed at night, so we needed earplugs. It was quite pricey, but I guess that's the going rate. Nearly three stars, to be honest, though the stay was very good overall. Ask for a non-smoking room!

The dinners were very reasonably priced for superb cuisine. I've never had pork cooked and presented that well. The small hotel is lovely, with friendly, helpful staff, a nice pool, and a room for ski or bike gear. The rooms are functional and small, typical ski style.
