Hotel L'Equipe

I’m really grateful to the team at Hotel l’Equipe. After I left my sunglasses outside a mountain hut, they arranged for the staff to find them and bring them back down to Morzine. Amazing service.

We stayed from 18th-23rd Dec 22 as a couple with our son for a ski trip. The room was great, all wood inside and just like having our own shalet, and the hotel is directly opposite a piste. The underground parking was great too, and the rest of the holiday went well. The biggest issue was the owners letting their dogs out around 6.30-7.15am. They barked uncontrollably and woke everyone on the rear side of the hotel. The dogs are wonderful, but being let out to bark was extremely annoying. I don’t know if the owners realized the problem. I couldn’t speak much French, so I left it, but for £235 per night I expect to be able to sleep. People come to relax and sleep as well as ski. After a hard day out, it would have been nice to relax in the pool area, but the sauna and steam room never worked. We also ran out of the hotel shower gel, which was almost empty when we arrived. When we asked for a replacement, we got a look as if we had two heads, then they gave us a ridiculous 10ml one. Apart from those issues, it was good.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel has good rooms, breakfast and a pool. It’s just across from the Pleney gondola.

The woodworms in the toilet door and woodwork in my room were gnawing away noisily all night, so I was awake the whole time. I couldn’t get coffee or a small breakfast at 7am on a working day, and there was no staff around at checkout.
