Logis Hôtel Alpina by Reservit

We really enjoyed our stay, and appreciated the staff letting us check in late at night. Dinner is a four-course set menu with cheese, and the continental breakfast buffet has meats, cheeses, and croissants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were very clean, with beds made each day. The spa was clean and the pool warm. It's a short walk to the ski shops and lift, though this isn't ski-in, ski-out. Two things could be better: there's no bathroom ventilation, so steam from the shower spreads into the rest of the room, and the hairdryer is very small and impractical.

I stayed half board in February 2023. The location worked really well, just a few minutes over the bridge to the Super Morzine lift, or about five minutes more to the main Pleney lifts. Dinner was a set four-course meal with cheese, and the food was very good, beautifully presented. My son used the nice pool every day after skiing. The twin room was on the small side, but clean and comfortable, and we didn't spend much time in it. The only slight annoyance was that the room's two sockets were right above our heads because of the twin beds, which made charging a phone while sleeping awkward. There was also a wall phone above my head that got knocked off a few times at night, and I could hear it buzzing. With the location, food, and pool, I'd consider staying again if I returned to Morzine.

Two months after booking a week of half board through booking com, I got an email saying the hotel had made a mistake and would double the rate or cancel the reservation. I understood that mistakes happen and asked if they'd consider a smaller increase, but got no reply beyond notice that the booking was cancelled. The room has since been advertised again at double the price, but with breakfast only. There had been plenty of options when I booked, but now they were gone and everything cost much more. We'd already booked flights, ski hire, and transfers. I'm very disappointed and wouldn't trust this hotel.

Hotel Alpina Morzine is spotless throughout, from the reception and restaurant to the rooms and leisure facilities. The hosts, a brother and sister, are incredibly attentive to detail, and the service and hospitality were exceptional. The location is handy: a three-to-four-minute walk to the Super Morzine bubble, or a bus stop right outside that goes to the Pleney lift. Breakfast has hot and cold buffet options, fresh juice, and bean-to-cup coffee. Dinner is à la carte, with food close to what you'd expect at a 4-star restaurant, plus a fantastic wine list. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and WiFi is very fast throughout. Near the bar there's a small recreation area with pool and table football, €1 per game, and a secure boot room with boot warmers. For its location and quality of stay, I highly recommend Hotel Alpina Morzine.
