Residence Pierre et Vacances Antares

The staff were welcoming, attentive, and efficient, and the balcony had a nice view. Our one bedroom apartment was small for two, but spotlessly clean and had what we needed. The kitchen was adequate. The walls, doors, and windows did little to block the noise or smell from our noisy neighbors who smoked. WiFi was very slow and kept dropping out. I also wish the lockers had boot heaters like the other P&V places.

We loved ordering bread and pastries each morning. They were delicious, and the location was perfect, with amazing views whenever we could use the balcony. But a dog in the apartment above us urinated from its balcony every day, and it ran down onto ours. The couple upstairs then washed their balcony, which still left ours unusable, smelly, and disgusting. We reported it to reception. They said they’d speak to the couple, but it happened four more times before we got an explanation. We had to complain daily. It finally stopped on Friday, the day before we left, and that’s when someone cleaned our balcony. By then it was pointless. This should have been dealt with the first time. We got no compensation, and the response felt like “oh well, at least they’re cleaning their balcony.” Someone even said, “the snow melts and people’s balconies get wet.” Since leaving, we haven’t had any acknowledgment from the residence. The apartment itself was a lovely living space, with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. It was adequate but quite small for four adults, with too little storage for ski gear and clothes. We lived out of our suitcases all week. Reception replaced a missing towel, but two of the four pillows weren’t suitable, and it was a struggle to get even two replacements, let alone four. If you’re looking for somewhere not too expensive but cheerful, it’s nice, but make sure there isn’t a large dog in the apartment above you on the 10th floor.

Our snowboard was stolen from the ski locker room. The manager said there’s no CCTV anywhere in the building, so they couldn’t check what happened. When we asked why guests aren’t told, she said it wasn’t necessary or important. She also claimed the ski locker room was a public place, not part of the hotel, and that the hotel had no responsibility. Safety is a real issue here. The way we were treated was rude and disrespectful. 🥲

Six adults stayed in a seven person apartment, and there was enough space. It was clean, comfortable, and budget friendly, with stunning views and ski in, ski out access.
