The Nant

What a great find. The chalet is lovely, and the host was welcoming, friendly, and full of local tips. We had a comfortable bed, hot shower, mountain views, and plenty of storage in the room. Breakfast was lovely too. It’s away from the busy part of town, but there are good bus links, or it’s about a 10-minute walk to the bars and shops. There’s also a pool table, a drying room, and a pleasant outdoor area. Everything we needed, and we’ll book again.

Great value, with clean, nicely decorated rooms and a buffet breakfast we appreciated. The hosts were brilliant and communicated well. It’s on the edge of town, with a frequent daytime shuttle, and about a 10-minute walk back after an evening out.

I was surprised on arrival because I’d expected a hotel, but Nant is a hostel, and there’s no lift. My room was on the second floor above the street and bottle bank, which was emptied at 5:45 am. It’s a good 15-minute walk from Morzine, with no bus at night. The room was small, and the shower was tucked into a cupboard, though the room itself was comfortable and the staff were friendly. It wasn’t for me.

We had a great stay for our MTB trip. There’s good storage, breakfast, and the amenities you need. The pool table was fun, though a bit worn, and still usable. I’d have given five stars if the advertised pump track hadn’t been overgrown and unused for years. The info page could do with an update to match what’s actually there.
