The family suite was charming and roomy, with two bedrooms and a bathroom. We were just two friends, so we had plenty of space. The hosts' home is lovely, and the area is peaceful. Parking on site felt easy and secure, and breakfast was more than enough. It's only a short drive to Amboise. We stayed one night, though we'd gladly have stayed longer.

The pool was a welcome treat after a long day cycling, and breakfast was a lovely French spread with tea, coffee, and delicious homemade jams from Françoise, made with fruit from the garden or friends. Françoise and Jean-François were so kind. On August 11, 2009, after we'd ridden a long way from Beagency and Chambord and got exhausted near Chaumont on a dark, moonless night, Jean-François drove out to fetch us and brought all the equipment needed to transport our bikes properly. The accommodation was perfect for us. If you're cycling, this is a good option, but call ahead: they can host a maximum of five people, so booking well in advance matters. We were very happy here and hope to come back, probably in October, to see them kill a pid. Thierry and Nadine, Chinese living in Paris.

Good value for the money. Just be ready for the roosters, they're awfully loud in the morning!
