Les logis de la maisonnette

We visited in August and had to turn around. The accommodation wasn't clean: the sheets were dirty, and the coffee maker still had coffee grounds in it. The outdoor pool couldn't be used, and there was dog mess everywhere. The hosts were absent throughout and, afterward, offered no commercial gesture, wouldn't listen, and didn't seem to understand that half-empty jam jars in the fridge aren't suitable for a B&B breakfast.

The place was swarming with insects, indoors and out, and the cleanliness was unbelievable. The online photos didn't match what I found. The cottage is right beside a very noisy road, and the pool, which was one of the reasons I booked, was completely inaccessible. What a dump. A rip-off.

We visited at the end of August and found no host. The linens and curtains were filthy, and we had no access to the pool. Outside, it was like a rubbish dump, beside a dog breeding facility and a very noisy road. We turned around and left, losing 360 euros, with the owner nowhere to be found. How many more people will be taken in by those lovely photos? Don't go there.

The place has a pleasant smell and is charming, despite the traffic noise, but the owners were unfriendly. The pool wasn't heated as advertised, and the pool area needs renovating, which was disappointing. Even breakfast, left on the table from 8:00 without a cover, was covered in flying insects by the time we got it. Sorry to the owners, but that's how it was.
