Parfums d'Azur

A quiet, clean, pleasant place, and the owners were really kind and helpful. I'd gladly come back and definitely recommend it.

A beautiful spot, with a gorgeous art gallery.

Cooking smells sometimes hung around the hallways, which wasn't very nice in the morning. The price was tempting, though it seemed to match the rooms. The place didn't feel modern, and cleanliness could have been much better: there were stains on the sheets and a surgical mask in the wardrobe. The TV barely worked, the bathroom was dated, and closing the toilet lock was a struggle. A lot had been patched up, and some proper repairs would help.

The courtyard and reception looked like a junk dealer's warehouse. We were greeted by a barefoot girl eating an apple, who spoke French but no other language. They demanded payment before we could even see the room. I kept wondering why Booking.com didn't seem to know how disastrous the property was. The listing on Booking.com said there'd be a stovetop and breakfast, but there was no breakfast. There was a sink and shower in the room, but the toilet was shared with the other rooms at the end of the corridor. There was poop floating in it, as if flushing were optional. No air conditioning or television, though there was WiFi. The sink had two used, dried-up soap bars, there were no towels, and the trash can was still full. The mattress had a sinkhole, and there were decorative sofa cushions. No cleaning or bed making either. It was extremely dirty. Huge Jurassic-esque cobwebs were everywhere, about the only furnishings. We didn't dare shower. Opening the window brought a fabulous view of a green pool that looked like a swamp, with frogs🐸🐸 and all sorts of recycled materials (see photo), plus the neighboring factory, which started making a racket at 8 in the morning. A disaster!!!!! When we left, nobody was there, so we left the keys and said goodbye to this hovel. Sure, the price was very low and it wasn't supposed to be a palace. But order, cleanliness, and kindness are basic to me, and this property had none of those.
