Babette and Christian were incredibly warm hosts, sharing their knowledge of and affection for the region. The rooms were very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent, especially Babette's homemade jams. It felt like a peaceful retreat. The house itself is magnificent, full of character and history, right in the historic heart of Moulins. I hope to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the pool. Many thanks to Babette and Christian.

The house is beautiful, with high ceilings, Napoleonic furniture, and a lovely pool. Breakfast was very good too, with fresh orange juice and delicious bacon and eggs. Christian welcomed us warmly, offered refreshments, and told us about the town and places to visit. Still, Babette's manner made us uncomfortable during the stay. Comments like “that's forbidden here,” “no, you mustn't do that there,” “it's time to leave,” and “you're overstaying” felt oppressive. We understood these were house rules and that we had to accept them; it was how they were said that upset us.

We had a lovely stay at Babette's House in Moulins. Our hosts were friendly, the welcome was warm, and breakfast was simply perfect. Thanks for letting us try your delicious homemade green tomato jam! :-) I highly recommend the place.
