Résidence Goélia Le Mas des Arènes

The heated pool was just right for this sunny start to spring, and there’s a little garden in the shade where you have complete privacy. Franck at reception was lovely, helpful, and full of good advice. The resort is well cared for and only a few minutes from the town center, where you can find everything you need. Our accommodation was clean, with a fully equipped kitchen, though we found the pots, pans, and utensils a bit limited for six people. The living room is very dark, but that didn’t bother us since we were outside or in there at night. We booked through Goelia at a special corporate rate, which was very attractive. We’d happily recommend the place.

The apartment and complex were nice, and the manager who welcomed us was really kind and helpful. The bedding wasn’t very comfortable, though. We stayed two nights in October 2025. It seems ideal for a short break or a trip with children.

The welcome at this holiday village was very warm, but the accommodation cleanliness was a letdown. We’ve been happy with Goélia residences more than ten times before, including at this same place two years ago, so we were disappointed this year. There was a lot of dust under the beds and on the stairs, and it looked as though it had been there for several weeks. The accommodation should be cleaned before guests arrive. We rented a unit for 6-8 people with three bedrooms and two rooms described as bathrooms. One had a sink and bathtub; the other had a toilet and shower but no sink or room to change. That’s inconvenient for a place meant to sleep up to eight. The TV connection was also terrible. We couldn’t watch anything in the evening, which was a real problem when the weather was poor.

The region was magnificent, and the welcome at the residence was perfect. But the accommodation felt old and badly maintained, smelled of cat urine, and had bedding that needed replacing. We won’t be coming back.
