Château de Cop-Choux

The grounds were lovely and looked well cared for. We were there for a wedding, staying in the Vanille room. The beds were comfortable, but the floors creaked with every step, and we could hear everyone walking on our floor and the one above. I guess the floors are wooden and not soundproofed. The bathroom was a real hassle. The bathtub sat in the middle with no shower curtain, so water ended up everywhere. There was even a notice asking guests not to splash the walls or floor because water could seep in. We did our best to dry everything with one of the big towels after showering, but it was unpleasant and inconvenient.

Pierre was such a great host and did more than he had to so we’d all have a good stay. His brother Fred is a chef, and the food he made was amazing. The Chateau is beautiful too. It was one of my best holidays, thanks to Pierre and Fred. I’d book this place again for a wedding or another event.

We had a nice holiday with our group at the chateau, but things went badly once we got home. The chateau kept our €4000 deposit. Since then, the communication has been terrible. We’ve asked many times for proof of the broken items and an explanation of the costs, but after more than six months we still haven’t received either. If you book a stay here, be aware that they may keep the whole deposit without giving a reason. Reply to your comment: Your response shows the lack of professionalism and helps explain why it was impossible to communicate normally with you.

We rented the reception hall at the Château de Cop Choux for COMPA’s 2026 Tourist Season Launch. The team set up and cleaned the room to our specifications, which helped the event get off to a smooth start. They also provided high-quality professional equipment, including a microphone, video projector, sound system and TV. A big thank you to the whole Cop Choux team for being responsive and professional. The service was impeccable.
