I picked this house for its character and unusual look, even though I could have stopped anywhere in Northern France, Belgium, or Luxembourg. I’m really glad I did. I wanted somewhere nice where my car would be safe, and the locked gates at night meant my car, bike, or cycle was secure. Karell looked after me so well and made sure I had everything I needed. She doesn’t speak English, and I can’t speak French, but Google Translate on the phone made it easy to communicate. Nothing was too much trouble. I had the set dinner, which was beautifully cooked and presented, and I’d highly recommend it. With only a limited number of guests and rooms, the stay felt personal. I felt well cared for and would definitely come back. Thank you!

We only stayed one night, and I wished we could’ve stayed longer, even though it’s just a small town. The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. The rest of the house is stunning too, full of interesting things on the walls, with even a pool table. The staff were really friendly and chatty despite the language barrier.

Ladislas was a great host, making sure we had a lovely dinner and breakfast. The continental breakfast included the best of what the local boulanger had to offer. The house itself feels like stepping back in time to a quirky Edwardian 'manor'. The hunting trophies on the walls are part of its character, though they’re rightly no longer acceptable today. Excellent.

Mouzon is worth exploring along its historic trail, which has information photos fixed to buildings along the way. The house is a must-see and a lovely place to stay and have dinner. It’s unique, and there’s literature in the downstairs salon about the family who built it.

A lovely place to relax and feel like a prince in France, especially if you love classic French decoration. The welcome is very kind, and the place has a lot of history.
